About Dr. Schnipper

Dr. Ed Schnipper is a widely recognized expert in innovative design and management of clinical trials, in several indications particularly in oncology. He has established a reputation for his efficiency in determining drug safety and effectiveness.

Ed practiced medical oncology both academically and privately before beginning his pharmaceutical career with Hoffmann-La Roche. He holds an MD from Georgetown University, and completed fellowships in hematology at New York University and oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Currently Head of Clinical Development at X-37, Ed has played key roles in drug development from IND to NDA in diverse organizations. Previously holding leadership positions at Hoffmann-LaRoche, Alza, Cellgate, and Novacea, he has been instrumental in securing drug approvals including Roferon A, Vesanoid, Saquinavir, Doxil, Duros Leuprolide, and Concerta.

About Dr. Stein

Dr. Mark Rodger Stein is a prominent immunologist and allergist noteworthy for his leadership positions, treatment of wide-ranging conditions, and groundbreaking achievements in research. Mark has distinguished himself as a researcher, originally focused on the relationship between gastroesophageal reflux and asthma, then later in immunodeficiency and immunoglobulin therapy.

Mark earned an MD from Jefferson Medical College and completed an internship at Abington Memorial Hospital before serving 10 years in the United States Army, reaching Lieutenant Colonel ranking. He completed an internal medicine residency at Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco, followed by a fellowship in allergy and immunology at National Jewish Medical and Research Center and Fitzsimons Army Medical Center.

Mark served as Clinical Consultant in Allergy and Immunology at the National Institute of Health, Assistant Chief of Allergy and Immunology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and Assistant Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at the Uniform Services Health Sciences School of Medicine. Mark founded and served as Medical Director at Allergy Associates of Palm Gardens, P.A., a practice dedicated to allergy, asthma and immunologic disorders.

About Dr. Genge

Dr. Angela Genge has been the Director of the Clinical Research Unit at the Montreal Neurological Institute since 2004. Her career is notable for groundbreaking research, prominent leadership positions, and significant distinctions. She has received the Forbes Norris Award, the DIVA of Distinction Award, and the Governor General Diamond Jubilee Award.

Angela completed her MD at the Memorial University of Newfoundland. She received her Canadian and American certifications in Internal Medicine and Neurology before completing a fellowship in neuromuscular diseases. She joined the staff of the Montreal Neurological Hospital in 1994, later becoming Director of the ALS Clinic in 1998.

Known for clinical expertise and introducing innovative therapies, Angela’s areas of research include rare neurological diseases. She has specifically led studies in the following neuromuscular disorders: ALS, myopathies, neuropathies, myasthenia gravis and pain.
