ARG Appoints Dr. Victoria Allgood Vice President, Scientific Affairs, Oncology

April 11, 2023

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., April 11, 2023 — Victoria Allgood, PhD, has joined Atlantic Research Group (ARG) as Vice President, Scientific Affairs, Oncology.

At ARG, Dr. Allgood will combine her extensive global industry and academic experience in oncology and laboratory-based research with ARG’s operational expertise in early phase oncology clinical development to provide clients with highly-specialized, tightly-focused individualized clinical study strategy, design and service solutions.

Dr. Allgood brings extensive expertise in the science of cancer cell biology, facilitating clinical development and trial strategies that are focused on the unique mechanism of action of each individual therapeutic candidate with the goal of identifying evidence of clinical activity as quickly as possible and pivoting when necessary to optimize further development.

“Inspired by the perseverance of cancer patients, I want to help the oncology research community develop new therapeutic agents –moving from laboratory discovery into clinical trials as quickly and efficiently as possible–so that patients and their families have more days together, as well as greater chances for cures,” said Dr. Allgood.

ARG, founded in 2004, already an industry leader in clinical trial management in oncology, as well as in immunology, neurology, medical and biopharma technology, has a proven track record of successfully and efficiently delivering a full suite of global clinical research services. The addition of Dr. Allgood will position ARG to accelerate the diversity and complexity of oncology studies it takes on.

President and cofounder Lyle Camblos stated, “We are happy to have Victoria in our organization. The timing could not be better for ARG as we grow our oncology footprint around the world. She will be an invaluable asset for us.” He then added, “Victoria fits into our culture because she brings not only experience and knowledge, but signature ARG spirit and passion.”

Dr. Allgood previously has worked globally in the biotech and pharmaceutical oncology industry, at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, and has held leadership roles in mid-size and large multinational global CROs.
